Bazaar Advertising Policies
Last updated August 17, 2026
Overview
Bazaar Advertising Policies apply to Bazaar’s paid advertising products.
Advertisers on Bazaar are responsible for their Bazaar Ads. This means following all applicable laws and regulations, creating honest ads, and advertising safely and respectfully. This article describes our advertising policies. Our policies require you to follow the law, but they are not legal advice.
In addition to these Advertising Policies, advertisers must follow Bazaar’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and all the policies in our Help Center governing use of our services. Please take a moment to review them.
Bazaar Ads Review Process
When advertisers on Bazaar choose to promote their content with Bazaar Ads, their account and content become subject to an approval process. The approval process is designed to support the quality and safety of the Bazaar Ads platform. This process helps Bazaar check that advertisers are complying with our advertising policies.
Most new creatives are reviewed within one to two business days. Advertisers with a consistent track record of policy-compliant ads may be designated “trusted” — creatives from a trusted advertiser skip this review and go live immediately, though they remain subject to every policy on this page and can still be removed after the fact if something’s found to violate them.
Bazaar Ads Account Eligibility
Bazaar accounts must meet certain criteria in order to be eligible to participate in Bazaar Ads and use our suite of advertising products:
- Your account must be identity-verified.
- Your account must be in good standing — not currently suspended or restricted.
- The contact details on file for your account must be accurate and up to date.
These requirements exist independently of, and in addition to, whatever review a specific ad or campaign goes through.
Ads Policies
Ad Quality Standards
To ensure that customers have a positive experience on Bazaar, advertisements must adhere to the following guidelines and comply with all applicable consumer and regulatory content standards and guidelines.
Ad Consistency
Ads, including the ad creative, ad copy, ad images, ad videos, and ad call-to-action (CTA), should be consistent with the brand or product being promoted.
Creative Quality — Editorial
- Ads must use proper grammar and spelling.
- Ads should avoid punctuation mistakes, excessive use of capitalization, or symbols.
- Ads must not include hashtags or URLs in the ad text.
- Ads should not include more than one emoji.
Creative Quality — Media
- Ads should avoid images, video, or animations that are gimmicky, excessively cropped, or indecipherable.
- Ads should not contain disruptive content resulting in unexpected user experiences, aggressive flashing/effects, or loud noises.
Landing Pages
- The landing page’s primary purpose cannot be advertising; it should be directly relevant to what is being advertised in the ad creative.
- The landing page must link to a working page and should be compliant with all ads policies.
- The landing page should not contain disruptive pop-ups or automatic downloads.
Prohibited Content
An ad is held to a stricter standard than an ordinary listing, since it’s actively promoted rather than simply available to find. Everything prohibited from listings under our Community Guidelines is also prohibited in ads — illegal items, stolen or counterfeit goods, firearms and other regulated weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia, hazardous materials, recalled products, hate or violence, sexually explicit content, and anything involving fraud or deliberately deceptive claims.
In addition, ads specifically may not include:
- Misleading pricing, or claims that are exaggerated or too good to be true.
- A third party’s brand, trademark, or likeness used without their authorization.
- Political or issue-based advertising of any kind.
- Promotion of categories that carry additional restrictions even when listed organically — including live animals, financial or lending services, and services requiring a professional license — unless specifically approved in advance.
If you’re unsure whether an ad is allowed, reach out to us at ads@bazaar.ky before submitting it rather than after.
Reporting an Ad
If you see an ad on Bazaar that you think violates these policies, you can report it directly — look for the small info icon next to the “Ad” label on the ad itself, which opens a “Report this ad” option. Reports are reviewed by our team and are confidential; the advertiser isn’t notified that a report was made.
Appealing a Rejected Ad
If an ad you submitted is rejected during review, you can appeal that decision by emailing ads@bazaar.kywith the ad in question and why you believe it should be reconsidered. We don’t yet have a dedicated appeals flow built into the advertiser dashboard, so for now every appeal is handled over email, reviewed by a person, and answered directly.
Removal of Advertiser from Bazaar Ads Platform
Bazaar follows processes and principles when removing advertisers from the Bazaar Ads platform. We don’t take this action lightly, and we strive to make it as transparent and seamless as possible for everyone involved.
Why Bazaar removes advertisers
Bazaar removes advertisers when they use the Bazaar Ads platform in a way that violates our policies. We encourage advertisers to be familiar with all our policies. Our policies include these Advertising Policies, the Community Guidelines, and the Terms of Service.
How Bazaar removes advertisers
When removing an account, Bazaar halts all active Bazaar Ads campaigns and prevents any further Bazaar Ads campaigns from serving. Before doing so, when possible, Bazaar may send an email to the advertiser outlining the violation, along with any available steps to correct it. For more serious violations, or otherwise at our discretion, we may immediately offboard an account without prior notification.
What removal does
Removed accounts are no longer able to promote their posts or creative content on Bazaar using Bazaar Ads products.
Note: Being removed from Bazaar Ads is not the same as being suspended or banned from Bazaar. It only applies to paid advertising. However, accounts that are removed may also be suspended or banned from the service entirely if they violate Bazaar’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
What to do if your account is removed
If your account is removed, you may not create new advertising accounts. If you need to contact Bazaar after being removed, you should contact the Bazaar Ads support team through ads@bazaar.ky.
Questions
If anything on this page is unclear, or you have a question about a specific ad or campaign, reach out to us at ads@bazaar.ky, or see our general Help Center at help@bazaar.ky for anything unrelated to advertising specifically.
